Case study

Millenium mills

Completed: May 2016
Client: Developer
Purpose: Temporary support for building to enable internal demolition
Ground Conditions: London clay Alluvium
Pile type: 219mm
Depth: 13m
Quantity: 40
Location: Docklands, London

This tricky project involved pile configurations of 4no piles front and back.

4no. of the piles along each support run were raked away from each other to create resistance against lateral forces.

Once piling had been completed temporary frame work was bolted to the piles and braced back to the building supporting 16 stories whilst internal walls were removed.

This project suited screw piles as this was for temporary works we can unscrew and remove the piles when the internal work had been completed leaving no trace or future obstructions.
